Sivrihisar was once home to Hoca Nasreddin, a quick-witted man who made those around him laugh and think deeply. This city, where he came to receive his education on his donkey, transformed him into a wise man and sent him off in the 1200s. Neither the city nor the rest of the country forgot him. The stories he told, which taught life lessons and made people laugh while teaching, have become a part of everyone's vocabulary.
